This print was produced as part of the Thrive Together Network's month-long Virtual Art Residency in September 2023. The Thrive Together Network encourages artists to choose community over competition and holds two residencies a year, an in person retreat, as well as weekly programming and virtual meet ups. It is a network of peer support, a fountain of resources; multiple tools to support every part of your artistic practice. Most members are female-identify caretakers.
My goal for the residency was to play more while also producing a final print of an illustration I made in 2022 while home with my 6-month old. Unexpectedly, the study I produced in play became my final piece; I made minor edits to one of the four screens for the edition.
