My Everything Collage Series
In 2022 I gave birth to my second child after several losses. With each of my children I felt full of inspiration post-partem, perhaps still brimming with the creative energy of birth, and each time I found new ways to be productive in my art practice. The constraints on time provide a new context and with my second I gravitated toward collage as a way to access and express; there may not be hours to sit and create but there are moments for flipping through magazines hunting for images, moments to cut out these images, moments to play with and layout these images. This series contains the work I created in the 4th trimester of the birth of my second child, Oliver.
